Fits Atlantic Bee Mop

See Starfrit for history of the mop. Bee mop was launched in 1980, sold to Freudenberg group in 2004 (parent co of Vileda). After learning of this, I felt confident in buying the classic refill. It fits just fine.

Q: Does this refill fit my old Atlantic Bee Mop?

A: This will NOT fit the older Atlantic Bee Mops. The older mops had six tabs on the metal frame and were 10.5" long -- as depicted in one of the pictures attached to this item. The currently stocked Vileda refills are approximately 1.25" shorter and only have five tabs, as you can see in two other pictures of the item.

Q: Does anyone know of any tricks to keep the refill sponge on the Vileda classic handle. Seems to come off too easily. Do I need a new handle? This happens on both of the handles that I have. The sponge slips off all the time.
