Not Recommended For Oven Use

This product is too thin and will not withstand oven heat. Too bad I didn't see the other "explosion" reviews before buying 2 of these plates. One blew up last night in the oven and I had to throw out another dish of food baking in a different dish for fear of glass in the food. In my opinion Anchor Hocking glass plates are not recommended for oven use. I am very aware of how to use glass pie plates, I have been baking for over 50 years and hearing the glass explode in the oven was a first. I will use the remaining glass pie plate as a watering bowl/bath for the birds.
