This is the worst frying pan I have ever bought. I used it once on medium heat to cook bacon and now if I try cooking an egg, it goes to the side.. it’s supposed to have warranty and when I called the company, they use excuse that I had to have cooked it on high every excuse in the book I would never buy a product from them ever again their warranty is a complete joke. they have an excuse for everything so I just threw it out and when I bought a real one, which I’ve had no problems with.

The website listed this pan as 5L and 31cm in diameter, but the pan is actually 4.7L and 30cm in diameter. Canadian Tire has to do a better job of providing accurate information on their website.

Q: Safe for use on Ceramic/Glass smooth-top range? I have been using this pan for a couple of years on an electric coil-burner stove. No warping, melting, etc. I've ordered a new ceramic smooth-top, range and wonder if anyone has used this pan on such a range, and with what results? Warping, melting?

A: Yes it will scratch your ceramic surface. They changed the bottom of the pan. The old style did not scratch. The new style that I purchased ( circular metal rings on bottom) will definitely scratch your cooktop. Doesn’t matter how careful you are it will scratch. Super disappointed, I loved the deep 5 quart fry pan.

Q: Is the centre raised at all? I have an older T-Fal jumbo cooker and the liquid tends to move to the outside edges and not the centre

A: It is a normal pan with a flat bottom. It has a really good non stick surface and an excellent lid. I bought it for my wife ... she likes it so much that I can't use it.

Q: Most of pan not touching stove? I just bought this but notice that only the very centre of the pan touches the stove, the rest of the pan is raised and not touching which doesn't seem right and makes the pan spin easily. Is this right or should I return it?? Thanks

A: It is most likely that your pan has warped from the pan being subjected to heat that is too high, or from temperature shock of putting the pan in water before the pan has completely cooled to room temperature. Granted, with a pan that is poor quality such as this one, it doesn't take much more than medium-low heat to warp due to the thin aluminum that is used. Sometimes you can take a small block of wood and place it on the bottom outside of the pan and hammer it back to where it's mostly flat again, but the problem will almost certainly recur. Sometimes a folded kitchen towel is enough to protect the pan from the hammer, if you want to try this method.

A: - As long as the pan is being placed on the burner according to directions, there shouldn’t any problems. As a preventative measure, the pan should not be slid across the glass surface of the cooktop.
