Q: Is the cable replaceable? I know some you can replace a cable with synthetic rope, just unsure if thats plausible with this one.
4 years agoA: Yes, I have replaced the cable with synthetic rope. Just remember to change your fair lead too, which is required for synthetic rope.

Q: I want to buy a battery to run this winch. I do not intend to wire it to the power source on a vehicle so can you please recommend what kind or size of battery it requires? I will charge the battery nightly but it needs to accomplish 5 heavy pulls per day
4 years agoA: I just use a regular 12 volt group 24 car battery. Use it to winch propane pigs up to my cabin.

Q: ATV/ UTV ? 3500 winch the toggle switch cable and relay assemble is to short and was no retaining nut on the relay assembly for my utv it should be mountable to the dash ?
5 years agoA: installed on a johndeere sidexside on the front crash bar. the cables on the selinode that are used to connect to the toggle control switch are only 2-3 inches .from the selinode to the dash board is about 4 feet to connect to install . if it to be used on a utv as it says on the box the kit should come with enough cable to run the wires from the selinode thou the frame so it can be installed on the dash not happy with this issue i live 80 kms from the city and had to get wire to install.

Q: Will it pull a 3500 lb load up a ramp and lower it at the same speed
13 years agoA: No. This winch does not operate like that. It is meant to pull at a specific force with a constant line speed which is much slower than the release speed which can vary depending on the load.
