Automotive sticker removal? Hmm!

I bought this specifically for an automotive sticker, doesn't touch it really. Very slight softening of the adhesive. I've covered where the previous sticker was with something else as I couldn't get the glue off.

We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with our product. We would recommend applying the Goo Gone to a cloth and rub, in circular motions, on the adhesive until it is removed. Repeat as necessary. Then follow up washing with a mild dish detergent and warm water.

A: I used it to remove the glue residue from stickers on a bike. Worked fine. Paint looked fine afterwards. So, probably.

A: I'd try Goo gone first and if it doesn't completely do the job, use paint thinner. We peeled the 3M coating off of the hood of my car and what Goo gone didn't do, paint thinner finished. Keep in mind, the adhesive on the 3M is way stickier than decals.

A: Yes, it’s most effective at removing the residue left behind from peeling Plasti Dip off. However, if left to sit on rubber, it can break the rubber down.
