This carpet shampoo works quite well on most carpet stains, but had trouble lifting salt stains on the first try. I'll give it another try when it warms up.

I bought this to clean remove the salt stain from my carpet, but it didn’t remove any of it. The brush is also quite small and hard to hold onto.

Q: Will this cleaner remove salt stains? Got some stubborn salt stains on the driver-side carpet by the peddles. Just wondering if this cleaner will do the job, or if I should go for Salt Eraser?

A: My best guess would be yes. I had five years worth of grime/discoloration in my carpets and this cleaner removed all of it. Give it a try.

A: The difference in Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner is the amount of surfactants, (this is the cleaning ingredient that loosens the soils and allows them to be rubbed or vacuumed off the surface.) The carpet cleaner contains more of this than the Upholstery Cleaner. Neither Carpet or Upholstery Cleaner will do damage to automotive fabric or carpet even if interchanged on the interior surfaces.
