Used it to clean the carbon build up in my turbo from in-town driving in my 05 Passat 2.0 TDI. Worked very well. It’s best to have two people present to do the job.

Used for years, works awesome

I have used this product for a few years, works awesome on my Subaru's 2.4L direct injected turbo. The key, on ANY GDI or TGDI CAR, is following the instructions given, AND knowing where to inject this product during the application phase. I created (2) ports on my intake, one before the turbo and one before the throttle bottle (after the intercooler). I split the bottle back and forth between these 2 points while the engine is running to get a thorough cleaning of carbon around the throttle plate, intake ducting, and misting it into the intake manifold. If you don't know where to use it, find some good youtubes of other, more experienced car people/mechanics showing how to do it on your car model. Don't hydrolock your pistons or damage things by rushing this process. (There's other negative reviews on here that I've read that make no mechanical sense. These individuals probably used the product incorrectly or had pre-existing mechanical conditions that couldn't be resolved by this product alone.)

Q: Does it include a straw for precision application

A: +1 on no straw. I've seen online they usually come with the caps that have the straw attached but in my store they don't carry it for whatever reason.

Q: Can this be used on Non GDI engines? Will it also clean the throttle body?

A: SKU# 038-8077 - CRC GDI Intake Valve and Turbo Cleaner is recommended for GDI engines only. To clean the throttle body, you can use SKU# 038-0781 - CRC Throttle Body Kleen Air Intake Cleaner.
