I tried this Pull Apart Key Ring in the store. It appeared to be very flimsy with a super thin wall on the outer casing. I had to push the two halves together very hard to get them to latch properly, otherwise the halves would detach prematurely. I didn't buy it.

Poor quality now

As someone else mentioned, the quality has gone down. First one I bought 20 years ago lasted about 15 years. Bought another one last year and it didn't work properly right out of the package. It was hard to insert the "click pin" into the main section and get it to lock properly. And within a couple months the mechanism started to fail -- my keys were dropping off at random times. Very disappointing.
