Idea is great. Easy enough set-up until you get to the very front door. The tent pole is 3-4 inches to long on both sides. Poles break after one use.

I bought one of these truck tents, and a pole broke during the first struggle to set up the tent. Napier sent me a pole, but it took a while and I missed out on camping. Next trip out, with the new pole, both black poles crimped during set up. So did the pole over the entry. Duct tape saved the day, but I don't want a new tent with duct-taped poles. I think I'll return this tent.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Will this fit with a hard shell tonneau cover folded up?

  • A: Hi there, Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately,the truck tents will not fit correctly with a tri-fold hard shell tonneau cover. You would have to fully remove the tonneau cover for proper install of the tents. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you.

Q: If I have a 2019 F350 with a 6'9" bed, what size tent should I buy? With the tailgate down, the length is over 8'. Should I get a regular or long box version? The specifications are a bit confusing.

  • A: Hello. I haven't tried the tent yet but we have an 8foot bed so we bought an 8 foot bed tent that had a DOT on the back of the package for an 8-ft tent.

  • A: I have a 2017 outback ram and I took the long box back and got the one before it and it fit great. Look at the sizes on the box. It is a great tent.

Q: I have a 2022 GMC Elevation. When I open the truck bed and measure from the front of the bed to the edge where the tailgate closes, it measures 5'10". Does that mean I need the full size, short box tent?

  • A: Hi, thank you for your question. Having researched your trucks bed and comparing it with the Napier assortment, I would recommend using Sku 034-0188 (Regular Bed). Its assembled length is 6.1' but should still fit with your application. Napier at this time does not offer a 'direct fit' tent for the 2022 Sierra.

  • A: Hi there, According to our size guide, the Full Size Regular Bed fits Ford F-Series boxes that are 6.6'-6.7' and the Full Size Long Bed fits boxes that are 8'-8.1'. Thank you.
