Decent throw and output for the size. I wired mine for offroad use (spliced blue wire to positive) so not sure how SAE compliant output compares but when testing it prior to installing off road mode is definitely brighter. Replaced a different slim 22" Alpena light bar that was more of a wide flood. This one is not as intense but throws much further. This one is a somewhat narrow beam but I really like it. Hopefully it holds up against water entering the light but the other Alpena bar was on for 3 years and never leaked. The reflector setup in this bar is also very nice looking if that matters to you. Also has a strip daytime running light but I didn't hook mine up cause it's not my jam.
