NOCO Battery maintainer

I have had good results with the NOCO products. My first unit is now 10 years old and working fine on maintaining my winter stored car. Needed a heavier model now for deep cycle RV batteries over the winter so went back to NOCO.

Did what other chargers could not.

Did the job when other chargers could not. This charger can charges batteries that are virtually dead (if they're still in good condition). I had a Lithium battery that my charger couldn't charge because the batter was too low. Many cheaper chargers require the battery has at least 20 amps before charging. I picked up this charger because it requires only 1 amp. I hooked it up and it did the job perfectly when other chargers failed. Definitely worth the money.

Q: I have two 6V deep cycle batteries connected up to make a 12v ‘house’ battery in my camper. I assume I use the settings as per a regular 12v battery as this is essentially what it is now? Thanks.

  • A: That is what I would do. I would charge both 6 volt batteries in series as a 12 volt battery. This charger is nice for your situation because if you want / need to charge your batteries individually you can with the 6 volt setting.

Q: I bought the charger (Noko Genius 10) last winter.  I tried to use it for the first time the other day.  It started, then shut down and it hasn't worked thereafter.  No light.  No indication anything is happening.  I was topping up a car battery. Advice?

  • A: The GENIUS10 is a battery charger that recharges a battery only when plugged into an A/C outlet. It is not a jump starter. It does not have an internal battery that needs to be charged. It should take approx. 8 hours to fully charge a healthy, full-sized car battery from 50% depletion.

Q: I have a 2017 Subaru 3.6 SUV. Is the NOCO Genius 10 best for my car battery? Can this be used to charge my dead Black & Decker 500 amp jump starter by hooking up both jump cables together ?

  • A: Our chargers were designed to be connected directly to the battery posts or terminals with the charger's included clamps, not through the other device's clamps or other cables. The GENIUS10 can be used to recharge and maintain your SUV battery. For your jump starter battery, please contact NOCO Support directly for assistance with a recommendation based on the battery's amp-hour capacity size.

Q: I just bought this yesterday Dec 15. I may buy the wrong one, as I need the function jump start but this one doesn't have and my car is 356amp. I wonder if can exchange to another? Can you recommend which one is suitable Toyota Matrix 2013. Thanks

  • A: The GENIUS10 is a battery charger that recharges a battery only when plugged into an A/C outlet. It is not a jump starter. Whether you have the 1.8L or the 2.4L 2013 Matrix model, the GB20, suitable for jump starting vehicles with gas engines up to 4.0L, would be the recommended NOCO Boost jump starter model.

Q: Is it ok to remove the battery from the car and use the Noco Genius 10 to charge the battery? In the underground garage of the building I dont have access to an electrical outlet

  • A: The best way to charge a battery is to disconnect it from the load (vehicle, boat, trailer, ect) However, It is not recommended to charge it in your home because a charging battery lets off fumes which can pose health risks, as well as increased risk of fire. Some vehicles are also temperamental when you remove the battery
