I’ve had both this and the side blade peeler by OXO and I prefer each one for different reasons. This one is comfortable to use, easy to maintain and clean and peels quick and effectively.

The OXO Gg Y Peeler has become my go-to peeler in the kitchen. The size is perfect in my hand, not too big or too small, so I can peel for a long time without feeling tired. I really like the soft, non-slip grip — it feels secure even when my hands are a bit wet. The blade is sharp and glides smoothly through potatoes, carrots, and even tougher skins like squash, without skipping or digging in too deep. The build feels sturdy and well made, not flimsy at all. Overall, it’s a simple tool that makes prep work faster and easier.
