Q: Would this fit a 2.5" width to 2" height railing?

A: The planter is designed to fit safely on a 2x4 or 2x6 railing. The planter will physically fit over a 2.5” wide railing, but it will be wobbly and not secure.

Q: Wondering whether this is too wide for my inside rail? I have an oak rail which is flat on top, rounded on the edges and 2" wide. Will this fit?

A: If the surface is rounded , it may not give desired stability and I wouldn’t recommend it for safety reason.
