    Great Bag

I have read the other reviews, but decided to give this bag a shot. I am actually quite impressed. I'm 175cm tall, that's about 5'10" and it might be slightly short for me, but it's not really that noticable because I bend my knees a bit when I sleep. As for the warmth rating, I would say there's a bit of optimism there, but on it's own I found it comfortable for camping in the mountains in September. But I could see it getting cold for people who like to keep hot, a bag liner or outer would do wonders. Also, the middle placement of the zipper is a little strange and takes some getting used to. In short, good bag, some minor flaws that I can live with. I would recommend this bag.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Great Design

For anyone who wants the wamth of a Mummy bag (compared to a standard rectangular bag), but doesn't like the restriction, this is the perfect option. A couple of things to be aware of - Although the bag is rated for 0 celcius, that is probably an optimistic rating. Have found it comfortable in the 8-10 C degree range. It would be nice if the North American mfg's would adopt the European rating system giving you comfort ranges for women (cooler sleepers#, men #warmer sleepers# and extreme #would help you survive in an emergency#. Adding a liner #faux silk or synthetic# not only keeps the bag clean on the inside #and can be easily washed), it also brings the bag up to it's advertised rating. Secondly, this is advertised as fitting persons up to 5' 11". In reality, if you are over 5' 8" you are going to be "hanging out" if you try to stretch out. Too bad there are no "Tall" versions of this bag. For the price it's tough to beat.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Disappointed

I used this bag a total of three times and the zipper failed. Hard to move around in the bag as well with the zipper being in the middle.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Excellent purchase

We bought 2 of these and really like them. They are a great light weight economical sleeping bag suitable for back country camping. We've used them right into September when the nights are a bit cooler and found them adequately warm enough. I especially like the barrel shape and the position of the zipper. It's more roomy than a mummy bag but snugger than a standard bag. The taper keeps the bag from getting wet from condensation from the walls of the tent as well as helps the bag stay with you when you roll over. The side vents are handy too for warm summer nights. I'd definitely recommend them.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Returning

I want another warm sleeping bag and I bought this one last weekend I took it home unwrapped it and I am grateful I check it out. This sleeping bag is very light weight which does make it easy to pack but if I would have went camping I would have been thoroughly disappointed it’s not warm at all.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: How wide is the bag at hip and shoulder?? I'm looking for a bag to fit a plus sized woman (myself). I am trying to avoid zipping two sleeping bags together because that sacrifices warmth and comfort. How is this bag in that respect?

    • A: it appears to be wide enough although i found it hard to shift around in due to the zipper being in the middle of the bag.
