A 6' roll cut into 1' strips goes a long way in a dark underground parking or back alley

I live in a badly managed low-rise condo, which I am working to fix, partly with Canadian Tire products bought at my own cost in order to 1/improve life in the building 2/gain support of fellow owners to replace the board and property manager. A tenant in the building, a handsome dude named Dustin, put two of these up on a parkade wall last year to make it easier to park his truck, so he could differentiate near grey from far grey. Brilliant!*
Now I am going to be oiling all the doors in the building to stop their annoying/painful squeals, and putting this tape up on all the hazardous/hard-to-see spots in the parkade and alley, as a favour to my fellow owners and neighbours.
I bought two 6' rolls, unrolled one roll a foot at time, marking this with a line on back, then taped the two rolls together. So when I cut a foot at a time, I got two strips with each cut, for a total of 12 strips.
But I needed more to properly "light up" the building, so I just bought two more rolls, and will do the same measure/mark/cut routine. Then I will have 24 strips to reply around the building, without squeaky doors, and hopefully a happy and safe superset of neighbours.
