Will not cook oats without boiling over

Generally a fair product. However, it does not cook oats without boiling over. We tried 1/2 cup steel cut to 1 1/2 cup water, 1 scoop (3/4 cup), 2 scoop, 3 scoop, 1:2 ratio, 1:3 ratio.. nothing worked, just big foamy mess flowing out the vent. Only way to stop it is to regularly open the lid and stir the pot, hopefully before it boils over. We can do that on the stove.

No, I do not recommend this product.
