NOMA LED A19 100W Light Bulb, 2-pk

L’ampoule fluoro-compacte installée dans le même luminaire fonctionne depuis des années alors que j’en suis à la troisième ampoule DEL que j’installe.

I installed 5 of these 100W bulbs in a main bathroom. Over a period of about period of approx. 3 yrs. two of the bulbs developed an intermittent flicker, requiring them to be replaced. Being LED based these bulbs have an expected lifetime of 15,000 hrs. I doubt if the two failed bulbs made it to 1,000 hrs.

After 1.5 years of minimal use in our garage, not even on a dimmer, light failed. We purchased it FOR its alleged long life as going up and down ladders becomes a challenge as one gets older. No wonder item now discontinued at our store of purchase.

Just purchased these again recently and noticed that they're now an A19 base whereas the same product bought over a year ago were A21. Same product code (#399-0213-6). The A19 is a smaller size which more closely matches the old incandescent bulbs so they're a better fit for most household light fixtures. It also apparently uses 15W of electricity whereas the older A21 were 16W. Both are rated for 15000 hrs. The new A19 bulbs do have a few disadvantages. First, they're ever so slightly less bright compared to the older A21 despite also being rated for 1600 lumens. Second, the color temp is now 2700K versus the A21 which were 3000K; a subtle difference but I find the latter color temperature to be pleasantly warm whereas 2700K borders on being a bit too yellowish. Third, the smaller A19 bulbs run a bit hotter so it's possible their lifespan may be diminished compared to the A21. As always, keep the receipt. I included pics of the bulbs for size comparison and the box to show the product codes. Obviously it's not possible to capture brightness and color temperature differences in photos.

This is the A19 size, like it says it is, but unlike the information on the package pictured here says. The package says A21 - the big ones - thankfully, it is not. At regular prices these are the best value in A19 100w LEDs that I could find.
