Its not as pictured on the box. The design is different than shown. I purchased this Noma sensor light after the old one started malfunctioning after probably 25-30 years from an American made brand. I chose this model because I could screw in my own quality LED bulbs I invested in, that are good for 25 years. I did not want preinstalled options. They are bright compared to preinstalled LED sensor lights which are weak in lighting dark suburb areas. The outer bulb protector is a thin aluminium. I assumed it was all metal. But the faceplate is plastic. It cracked upon installation. Very infuriating. Its not very solid and could not handle a simple screw in going at it slowly. I cannot remove it until spring. But a brand new fixture is with a crack, within one hour of owning it. My old sensor is solid galvanized steel! it lasted many years. For the price point I expected better craftmanship. $52.99 + tax Nov.2025. Also the face plate holding bulbs is flat in the back with no space to tuck wires. The old fixture was domed to house the wires. I do not have a junction box installed not can I drill 4” into bricks and siding. I purchased a thin spacer box to install next spring to house the wires behind it so it sits flush against siding. I currently put insulation strip all around. I may seek replacement for the faceplate. I cannot glue it together if it progresses and splits in two. It was difficult to position lights in downward position. They are screwed in so tight. No instructions are available on positioning and loosening cogs at pivot joints. The sensor is oddly placed in center. It can only move so much in a down position it protrudes way too much in the center. It’s a strange design. My old one is superior in design and quality. Also it has no option to stay ON continuously. The maximum it stays on is 2 minutes. When shovelling the driveway this winter in the dark, unless I go near it it will turn off leaving me in the dark. If I move away from carport it will turn off. The range is frontal. From the side, the sensor is not triggered. It goes on with nothing there randomly. No wind, no one, nothing. So I close it during day, and turn it on as needed. I may turn down sensitivity. But climbing up and down ladder is not a picnic. I am not sure why it does this if its not sensitivity function. Its inside a carport far from the road. There are no animals triggering it. No one, or anything. Things are made of less quality these days. It works with above issues, installation done alone 12’ high, with some challenges due to height, and no junction box due to it’s design. It was not a smooth swap out. I wish the exact model I had was available. Simple with test function, and light switch determined it it went on sensor mode or stayed on, or off. Now all sensor lights seem to be 2 mins max, no test mode, no continuous lighting option. I recommend this light for junction box installation only. Unless you buy an external adapter like me. It’s good for a back yard perhaps. Box comes with everything you need except screws meant for wood siding, or concrete. They are screws for a junction installation.

The sensor is not good as advertised. Not close to reaching the advertised distance.
