Q: At 2 amps does that mean if the battery is down by 200 amps it would take 4+ days to charge it.
2 years agoA: I just used the 200 amp number to make the point that this is not the product to charge an automotive battery that is almost completely dead in less than a few days. There are other chargers that are more suitable for quickly charging a battery that’s severely depleted. This product is what you use on a battery that’s severely depleted is near fully charged and the vehicle it’s in won’t be used at all or very seldomly for the next 2-12 months. This is the perfect product to use to keep the battery at peak efficiency and ready to go plus it helps to keep the battery from becoming weak from sulphication of the “ cells “ inside 5he battery.

Q: It says good for keeping battery topped off and for winter. But it is only rated for -20 celcius. Would it still work in -30? In -30 I need to boost car if it sits more than a day, but in -20 Battery is fine. Or should I consider a new battery

Q: Is the NOCO GENIUS2 Smart Battery Charger/Maintainer/Desulfator, 2-Amp, 6V/12V capable of boosting the car battery of a 2006 Mazda 3s.
3 years agoA: It's not for a quick jump start, but if you have some time, it will likely bring the battery back to sufficient power to start your Mazda. It may take a day or two. I use mine to do that with the battery on my motorcycle and to maintain it over winter. 2 years so far and all is well !!

3 years agoA: I don't see why not. I've been using mine on a number of AGM and gel batteries almost continuously for two years, including a small lawnmower battery, a fibre-optic system back-up battery, and a couple of car batteries.

3 years agoA: No, this is a trickle charger only. It is a small device the size of a small fist. It is a low power device. Boost and Fast Charge would require a much more powerful device.

Q: What NOCO product do you recommend for maintaining a fully charge battery in a car that is stored in a garage for winter ?
4 years agoA: Most of the chargers are good for this purpose. I use Genius 2, it is keeping my batteries charged. Working very well for the past 6 months. I happy, it is easy to use. Buy one with spring clips, which does not require bolting or screwing.

Q: Do you have to register the charger with Noco ?
16 days agoA: You do not need to register with NOCO to qualify for the 3 year warranty when purchased at Canadian Tire. Just keep your receipt.
