Effective at doing what the label says, though not perfectly. The engine and oil has to heat up to be most effective.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Questions

Q: 08 Dodge Sprinter 2500 3L Diesel Auto. Will this product work on a small differential pinion leak? How much No Leak Engine Oil Stop Leak should I use? Thanks, Bob

    • A: These oil stop leak products generally work by conditioning dry seals and causing them to expand (or swell) to reduce or eliminate leakage.  Presuming that there is seal on the pinion that has an elastomer (synthetic rubber) component, this may help.  I used this on an old Ford V8 whose rear main seal was leaking.  I suspect it would that having a hot environment like an engine helps the active component penetrate into the seal.  Your differential doesn't get as warm compared to engine oil, so if you are going to add this do it in the summer and run your truck pulling a trailer to get your differential oil as hot as possible.  I suspect the instructions for the product suggest a concentration, I think I used about 0.5 L in truck engine that has 5 L of engine oil.  I don't have the container any more.  You should be able to find the volume of oil in your differential either in your owner's manual or from your dealer and then determine how much to add to the differential.  I would add too little rather than too much, this additive may be a lower viscosity than your differential oil and adding too much may impact the viscosity of your differential oil and impact its effectiveness. I know it's a long answer with lots of qualifying statements, used with some caution it won't hurt and it may help.

Q: where do I pour this? Under the hood I see a big round cap ontop of the big engine square, is this where I pour no leak? Is this where people pour oil during oil changes? If the oil dipstick reading is 90% full, will it overflow if I pour the whole bottle in?

    • A: It is never a good idea to over fill the oil reservoir. We would suggest to wait to add the NoLeak Engine Treatment until you change the oil the next time or wait until you need a full quart of oil. Add the NoLeak Engine Treatment & then top off with oil -but do not over fill.
