I had an old Bruan stick blender I bought back in the 80s just to make protein shakes. It was not a powerful model and the arm didn't detach. It was more of a drink maker than a blender but I occasionally used it as such. I decided to upgrade to a more powerful blender so i could use for soups and sauces. I gave my 35 year old unit to my daughter and got me the latest Ninja Immersion blender since Consumer reports recommended it. I bought it in mid 2023, so a few months shy of 3 years and today it STOPPED WORKING. The arm froze up. Hopefully it hasn't hurt my motor, but I was making some pizza sauce when it happened. I probably averaged once or twice a month usage so estimating I have used it between 30-60 times. I will give Ninja one more try since I ordered a replacement arm. I owe Braun an apology since it was loyal to me but I wasn't loyal...my shame. I doubt I will buy another Ninja product. The blender worked great. I may give this one to my daughter and get me a Braun that Americas Test Kitchen recommends. The only complaint until it failed was that the power cord is cheap and too stiff. The mixer was okay but it came in as a welcomed handy attachment.

Hi Franco, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your experience. Moving from a decades‑old Braun blender to a modern immersion blender is a big shift, and having the arm seize up after relatively light use, especially while making something as simple as pizza sauce, must feel incredibly disappointing. Your notes about how often you used it, how well it blended until now, and the comparison to your older unit truly help highlight where longevity and durability didn’t meet expectations. Hearing that the cord felt stiff and less premium than expected also gives us important insight into how the blender performs in real kitchens. Feedback like yours is genuinely appreciated, and it will be passed along to the relevant teams for review as we continually work to improve our products. It’s great to hear that the blender performed well for you while it was working, and we hope the replacement arm you ordered restores that experience. Kind Regards, Ninja Kitchen.

    Had higher hopes

I have the immersion blender and was really excited for it. Unfortunately, it retains fluid. If it goes into the neck, I am sure it will come out of the neck when I use it.

    One Arm Mixing Wand

I bought this Mixing Wand to replace an old mixer with two metal mixer attachments. This lightweight one arm mixing wand blows it away. It's built with a powerful variable speed motor and has a large whisk and a sharp blade attachment to tackle anything on your cooking menu. Easy to use clean and store. I recommend this product for anyone who wants to upgrade their old mixing clunker.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

This blender works great. First use was to make a great lentil soup. All smoothly pureed with roasted veggies. Great value too.
