Ninja Dual Brew Coffee System with Adjustable Warming Plate

I recently received this updated model as a replacement for my original dual brew coffee maker which had a leaky reservoir. I was really excited with all the new bells and whistles it came with, However the brew volumes are off and you can't adjust them. 12oz on the machine only puts out 10oz in your cup. This is annoying because I used to fill my travel mugs with one pod and 12oz of water running through and a splash of cream. First time I tried this on the new machine, I needed two brews. First at 12oz and realizing it's nowhere close to where it should be, then the 2nd brew, with another Kcup, set at 8oz. Still not quite there. A total of 20oz and it couldn't fill a 16oz travel mug? The hot water option is nice, except it comes out of the spout spitting mostly. A nicer pour would be nice for an appliance of this caliber. Almost wish there was a simple fix for my old one other than cutting it's cord and receiving this unit.

I did quite a bit of comparison shopping to find this unit, as a replacement to my old percolator. And I just wanted to stay away from those mid-stream drip shut-off types (those with spring-loaded ball-valves which cut the flow when removing the kettle, and overflow if the kettle is not put back properly) - which 75% of the machines incorporate this stupid design. And from my read of the ratings, most of the problematic comments seemed to imply operator errors (supported by the manufacturer's responses), or inappropriate manipulation of the unit. I noted the manufacturer addressed and corrected other flaws (loud beeps softened, pod unplugging tooI design). It's also important to note that the product ratings are no necessarily for the Canadian Tire model I'm presently rating, as some relate to models specifically sold through Ninja. I found my brewer to give hot, tasty coffee from the carafe. I haven't seen any messy work using the pods. This machine works relatively quickly, has fine integral features (contoured ergonomic and practical moldings for holding the water reservoir, storing the pod attachment, clamping the coffee scoop). The workmanship seems solid. So far, so good. I'm waiting for the warmer days of summer to try out the ice coffee version.

Very happy with this purchase. We use it in both K-Pod mode and Carafe mode and it easily switches between them. Nice features like scheduled brew and easy to use interface. The reservoir is not hidden in the back so you always know when to refill it and you can even refill it during a brew. Highly recommended.
