Q: Is this a Mr. Cool 4th gen unit or is it an earlier generation?
2 years agoA: This 18K unit is part of the newer '4th Generation E-Star' series, although the Canadian Tire listing doesn't explicitly state it. Two things point to it being 4th gen: the 22.0 SEER rating (the 3rd gen. had only a 20.0 SEER rating) and the Energy Star certification. It's clearly more efficient than the already efficient 3rd gen. unit. I think it's going on my wish list for this year, 2024.

Q: How difficult is it to install yourself?
2 years agoA: Have a look at the how-to videos on Youtube. There are a few of them, and you'll see what is involved. Pretty straight-forward but it's always nice to pick up tips and tricks from people who have already installed one. Overall, feedback has been positive.
