Q: 011-1820-6 Inverter is rated for 24 volts, yet comes with a cigarette lighter plug for loads of less than 100W. does this mean it runs off 12 volt at lower power, as cigarette lighter plugs are rated at 12 volts, not 24?

1 Answer
A: Hi Jeff,
This product is designed for 24V trucks or 24V DC power source. It won't work if you use it on 12V vehicles. By using cigarette plug to get 24V power inside the truck, we suggest to use devices less than 100 W for stable performance.

Q: Does this have outlets you can plug something into?
1 Answer
A: Yes, Motomaster 400W inverter has two AC outlets, it can connect to digital camera, smartphone, laptop computer and so on, but total power cannot exceed 400W.
Besides, please also note that its input voltage is 24V, such as trucks, boats, RVs, while normal small cars' input is only 12 V. Thank you.

Q: I Just purchased this and tried it in 2 different vehicles. Once plugged in to the 12v socket, with no electronics plugged in (no load), continuous alarm sounds and does not turn off. Poles are installed correctly.

1 Answer
A: This inverter is designed for 24V trucks only. The consumer connects to 12V socket which caused alarm and identified as low voltage protection. Pls connect to 24V trucks correctly, then the inverter can work properly.

Q: could you use it for a microwave ?
1 Answer
A: Based on our experience, the power of microwave is 1000W or above.
While the max power of our inverter is 24V,400 W which can supply is only 400W, so it cannot used for a microwave.
In this case, we suggest 011-1866 1500 W Power Inverter for a microwave.

Q: can this be used with 100 watt coleman solar panel
7 years ago
1 Answer
A: According to the vendor, this ower Inverter can't supply power to a solar panel.
The following is how Solar Panel works:
Solar Panel collects sun light and transfer it to electric energy.
Since the strength of sun light vary from time to time and unstable, it needs a Solar Charge Controller to make the energy stable before using, then it can charge battery.
The battery can supply power to Power Inverter, then Inverter supply power to electric appliance.
