Q: Is this intended for footwear or leather furniture (or appropriate for both)? My concern is whether it would be colour fast or if it could come off on other clothing.

2 Answers

A: The oil itself has no colour, it's a transparent fat. It's safe to use on any real leather goods such as boots, bags and furniture. However, if you were to use it on say a leather couch that has been stained, I would make sure that after I've rubbed the product in, I would rub any remaining residue off with a clean cloth and leave to dry completely for a day. Before sitting on the couch again test an area by rubbing it with a white cloth to make sure it's completely dry and safe to sit on. Also please note that it will darken any light leather by a couple of shades.
