Good value for the dollar and versatile.

It’s easy to assemble. You have to experiment with it to use for various application applications but once it’s configured it works well.

Excellent tool for the job

used this to fix up some spindles on the stairs. If I had known this tool existed when I did the stairs, I would’ve used it then. It drills holes to the proper depth and they are dead straight. Highly recommended!

Useful tool for my work. I was considering buying a full size drill press, but this is fine for now.

Questions

1 - 6 of 6 Questions

Q: will this go slightly more then 45 degrees by any chance? I need 46.5.

1 Answer
  • A: Just checked, yes there is enough slop where the guides mount to the base that you could get to 47°, but this is not a precision tool. Even with the higher precision red plastic bushings installed there is still slop in the guides. How are you going to start a hole at 46.5°?

Q: is it possible to drill a hole in acrylic or plastic?

1 Answer
  • A: Yes it is. This is going to depend on what you use to drill (bit, hole saw etc.)

1 Answer
  • A: The base opening is about 3-3/8” but realistically you wouldn’t want to use anything over 3”. Might just be too much torque for the chuck to handle depending on exactly what is being done.

Q: Ok for a hammer drill? I need to install an automotive lift, requiring precision concrete drilling

1 Answer
  • A: This tool should NOT be used with a hammer drill. The tool would be destroyed. FYI the packaging clearly states this as does the manual
