Taste is subjective. Whereas one child may love a toy, another may have different preferences. Objectively speaking, Breakout Beasts are quality toys. I've seen a few reviews where parents claim their child was not interested in a toy long. I'd argue this is an opinion rather than an objective look at the design of a toy; How long a child stays interested in a toy is always going to be a variable. With Breakout Beasts, you're getting a quality toy that is well designed for a relatively good price. Plus, SLIME! I believe that the Breakout Beasts are, compared to other toys on the market right now, unique and innovative. There are many different mythological creature designs you can collect. TLDR: Breakout Beasts are quality, well designed figures for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Mega Construx Breakout Beasts Egg to review for free from Mattel. My son loved it!! What’s not to love? He got to play with slime and build a beast. He was so excited and his big brother gladly helped him. They had a lot of fun pulling the pieces out of the slime and putting them together. I would definitely recommend and we will be purchasing more in the future.

This was definitely fun for my son to open and dig through the slime for the pieces. I like how you can use pieces from other figures and make a whole new one. The only dislike I have is there are too many small pieces for my taste. Overall fun toy.

A unique surprise to behold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toy is quite a unique surprise. An egg that has the features of an egg. I like the fact that when you open the egg, the dragon parts are protected in a slime(like mucus) It is as the name say, "breakout beast"The set up doesn't take much time and it is easy with the help of the set up manual paper. The dragon is really looks like the real ones in the movies and I love the color. My kid always uses it for pretend play as a good dragon that saves people. He really enjoys playing with it but at times he uses his other toys and sometimes together with this dragon. It is a very easy and light toy to play with and carry/take on the go to keep him compay. He equally enjoys playing with the slime which is a bonus. My only complaint is that the egg was hard for him to open; I had to help him but other than that he really enjoys playing and making up stories with the dragon.
