Fair if on sale, but manufacture issues

These aren't bad bits for the money, if you get them on sale; if it's your first major set of bits, you'll probably end up buying more (and better quality) of the bits you use most often anyway. Some manufacturing problems to be aware of: the carbide quality promises to be good, but bits from Freud, Dimar, Whiteside, etc are more durable; the case is terrible; and if you plan on using a collet reducer to use the 1/4" shank bits in a 1/2" capacity router, I'll warn you that in my set, SIX of the 1/4" shanks were machined slightly larger than 1/4", meaning that they damage the reducer and would pose a significant safety risk if you try to force them to fit. You get (a little less than) what you pay for.
