The MAXIMUM 12” High Contrast Square is designed with a rigid ABS plastic body with beveled edges that make it much easier to read in difficult conditions. This MAXIMUM framing square is built for heavy-duty tasks, but also makes a solid choice for general-purpose measuring. Works as intended as I needed one that was bigger than my go to 6 inch speed square. I'm not sure how long it will last though. It seems to be just regular plastic and not super robust. I was hoping to find an aluminum one, but this was the only 12 inch speed square on offer.
