MAXIMUM Heavy Duty Angle Grinder

had this grinder for about 3 years now and works great, the new model looks slightly different on the exterior but still the same internals 12 amp 5 " grinders, i beat mine alot and use it for hours straight to finish off a project, it was my first and for a while only grinder since than ive picked up a grinder from pretty much every major brand and this one is still my favourite i havent had any issue with the trigger or trigger lock as some people have posted i use this for everything including grinding down welds and get my whole weight on it at times and it never even hesitates, brushes still have plenty of life after about 300 hours of heavy use, i did trade out the gearbox grease as it seemed to be kinda burnt at 2 year inspection but ring and pinion show no wear i leave the guard on this grinder since its so easy to move out of the way it rarely if ever gets in the way and does a solid job deflecting sparks and catching exploding zip cuts from time to time long review alot of rambling but cant recommend this grinder enough, i tell everyone i know this is the one to get surprising quality for canadian tire, as with everything at CT if you dont need it right now wait and itll be on 50-70% off within 2 months cheers

I bought this on sale a couple months ago and it was a steal. It cut through my retaining wall like butter. Now that its on clearance I'm debating getting another one. The guard comes off rather easily and it has a third attachment point for the handle. That feature is rare nowadays.

the more I am using maximum tools the more I like them and this grinder is know different I am hard on tools and this grinder stands up to every thing I am looking for in a tool good weight (even) need a grinder this one is a good choice

Works well, would be nice if there was varialbe speed though.
