Would not recommend.

The cord started to fray with a week, and the plastic lever to switch the discharge direction at about the same time. Highly recommend using a vacuum instead of the bag that comes with it to save time. The blade that comes with it is very sharp, and for the money, it does a good job.

Light and works well

I like this plane - easy to handle, collection bag and able to direct the chippings either left or right.
I have just chipped a blade....does anyone know where I can buy a replacement blade please?

Burnt out after second use.

Bought it, used it once for a few minutes and it was fine. Used it a second time a couple of weeks later four maybe 45mins, seemed to be working great. The following day, I plugged it in went to fire it up, motor started spinning then nothing.
Seems like the unit is cooked, similar to the other reviews I'm seeing around. Only had it set to 1/48th" the entotime and was planing softwood.
Also, 'pressure' has nothing to do with these burning out. These are planers not sanders and the have a steel base which is meant to sit one the material you are planing.
These are not well made units.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for your comments. In developing this tool, the intention would have been to develop a very good quality tool. It is of no benefit of course to either the User or ourselves to invest substantially in developing a poor quality tool. During development the tool was thoroughly tested against a set of criteria. Simultaneously, other branded tools were tested to the same criteria. Once developed, all of the hundreds of components that make up the tool are tested in batches prior to production, these tests however do not test 100% of the components used. Based on your description, it is probable a component has failed. We apologize for the inconvenience.

3 hour tool for a $100

It worked great for three hours, bought Thursday and returned it the next day. Lady at the counter plugged it in and answered , yup it's cooked alright. Tried to exchange it for another one but it was out of stock. Might just be a lemon
