could be better

I wanted a set of sockets to load into a tool chest. This set fit the bill. The sockets and ratchets are fine. I inspected them all carefully and the surface finish was good. Very few imperfections. The allen keys are poor quality. Poor surface finish and one of the small ones was bent out of the box. The allen keys range from 1.27 mm to 6mm and 0.05 to 0.25 inch. Those are not very big Allen keys sizes considering the typical purpose this socket set will be used for (e.g. fixing a car). The allen keys did not go in my tool chest because of that. The gear wrenches are okay, but they are an incomplete set - think of it as a "sampler". The trays are thin vacuum formed plastic and will not last if put to regular use. I disposed of the trays. This is my "out of the box" experience. I have not used them long enough to comment on durability. I'm only giving the set three stars because I'm not satisfied with the allen keys and the trays.

Q: Can I order exact match individual replacement sockets? I lost a socket. Is it possible to order individual sockets that have stamped size and "X" branding. The individual Maximum sockets in stores are laser etched, not stamped. Nothing like the sockets in sets.

A: Newer stock of sockets will have the stamped size and "X" branding on the socket. Suggest checking several stores to see if they have stamped stock of the size you are looking for.

Q: Is there any socket sets with smaller trays ? 19 inch to 20 inch
