Best Reciprocating Saw I've Used

The swivelling head makes this saw great for working overhead. I also like the tool-less blade exchange. I will purchase this again if it breaks after the warranty is up.

worst purchase ever

this tool is by far the worst i have ever by at canadian tire.
i was expecting something more reliable as i make sure it was a maximum heavy duty i should have go for the" walt " tool but they never get on a good deal probable because they don't have too they sell anyway
now i know a chance mastercraft tool are life time warranty that what is motivated my choice. hopefully i will be able to trade it with something that don't rotate on the end that will be already better cause that is the probleme with that saw it is always ungear no matter what position you are on it is spine without action pain in a butt to work with .from the very first day i use it she never work great thinking i might use it wrong i was keeping hope she will be better but no she never perform to my expectation as a trademan i should know better for reciprocating saw the best are milwakee

Better than other saws

This saw is well built and solid. The swivel is very practical in tight places. I had to use it while installing recessed lighting and was better suited than any other saw I had. Convenient green light lets you know that its plugged in for safety. I got this saw on sale and I recommend it to anyone for any job, big or small.

Q: Can the saw cut through a 6 by 6 inch fence post? Do I need a special saw blade to cut a 6 by 6 inch pressure treated fence post?

A: The saw is capable, you would need to purchase an appropriate length wood blade. Like the #54-8025 or #54-8029 or similar.

A: Watts = Current x Voltage 1200W = 10A x 120V ************************************ In AC power need to consider the PF (Power Factor), the real power that is used to do the work vs. the apparent power being supplied to the circuit. Meaning, a 10A tool doesn’t run at 10A most, if not any of the time. The PF could be any number between 0.00 and 1. Unless you are measuring the actual current with a current clamp, the PF would only be a guess. As it is dependent on the tool efficiency, work being done and user inputs. so….. 1200W = 1PF x 10A x 120V ------ when PF is 1 or 750W = 0.6PF x 10A x 120V ------when PF is .6
