Not what I thought

I usually don't buy a new item when it first comes out...but I thought the light would come in handy in places where light is low....the tape has an automatic
hold devise when you pull the tape out....putting the tape measure back...there is a trigger on the bottom. The problem with this is, if you retract the tape measure back in the tape case and let go of the trigger...the trigger devise damages the sides of the tape measure...it retracts back in the tape case very fast...you can notice this on my tape in the pic shown...also where the batteries go...I can't get the screw in cover to unscrew to remove the batteries...I plan on returning the tape for another one...just keep in mind...you need to slow the tape with your hand while retracting the tape measure.....or you will have the same issue I had...
No, I do not recommend this product.
