This snap off razor knife is fine for regular tasks around the house like opening parcels. For more intense jobs like cutting tiles - you will need a more heavy duty knife.

Q: Does it have a lock to lock the blade from retracting or forwarding?

A: The lock is meant to lock the blade from forwarding and holds the knife in place. This is not a retractable knife.
