defective but can be fixed easily

I bought this gas nailer when was on sale. I was very disappointed when I finally got to try it out and found it would only drive 1 nail then non after that. I spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting and found that it would only fire after opening the fuel cell cover, removing the fuel cell then place the cell back in and close the cover. Then only one shot. Repeat. One shot. I ended up exchanging it after a 3 hour ordeal over the repair only warranty that is on this nailer THERE IS A 30 DAY REPLACEMENT WARRANTY. after then it is repair only. Anyway with the replacement nailer I had the same problem. I discovered then that the cover closes too tight on the fuel cell and doesn't allow it to move back in for a charge. With the cover unlatched I proceeded to deliver a full clip of nails into a 2x4. It worked great even with the fuel cell cover flopping around. Rather than exchange this again for another most like defective nailer I removed enough plastic webbing from inside the cover with a utility knife to allow the fuel cell to cycle the charge. The cover should close easily and latch nicely in place. With this fix the nailer worked perfectly. It is fast and drove 30° 3 1/4 paslode as well as 33 bostitch and 34° mastercraft nails with no problem. The fuel cells used were bostitch red cells. The instructions only state to use red cells and do not specify a brand. I am now happy with this nailer and hope it holds up when I start framing the cabin this summer.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Great Product

Super easy to use, decently light weight and has sufficient power for framing. Even fastened 2x4 into concrete. No compressor and hose makes my life much simpler.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
