For this machine the output current is 60-180A. During 80A output current, it can weld 2.5mm2 electrode.

Machine is powerful for its size and works well with a variety of rods. Built well and is solid for a smaller package
Q: Your response to a question from Bullseye1950 2 months ago recommend using a 50amp breaker with #12awg wire. Does this comply with the code? Does this unit have built-in overload protection since the breaker is over-sized respective to the #12awg wire?
1 Answer
A: 0581294 doesn't have overload protection.
The max input current of 058129 is 41A, so it needs 50A breaker. While it only has 10% duty cycle cause effective input current is low. So 12awg wire can be worked. Certainly, a thicker wire will also work

Q: Re: Product 058-1294-8 Electric Welder
In response to a question asked approx 2 months ago asking what breaker size was required, you responded to use a 50amp breaker with #12awg wire. Is a 20amp breaker not the max by code for #12awg wire?
1 Answer
A: It requires 50amp breaker, with min #12awg wire; certainly a thicker wire has no problem.
