Mastercraft Polishing Kit, 9-in, 5-pc

Worked ok but needed a bigger grinder/buffer as mine kept overheating, really not a gripe with the product only in that it would have been nice if they specified a larger size was needed. Would reccomend the 6" products if your polisher is smaller. Did clean up my fiberglass top and took out all of the oxidation! So happy with that.

Good but needs a legend describing use of each pad

This kit helped me take the oxidation off the fiberglass of my sailboat. It worked well. The wool disc shed a bit of fuzz during the waxing process but that easily wiped off. I would have appreciated a short instruction manual on which disc to use when instead of having to research it elsewhere.

Motor home or RV polishing

The product works as expected but you may need 2 packages for larger jobs with a Dewalt polisher. The yellow pad works best with light surface chalking and the green for heavy cleaning with required cleaning polish or wax. The wool bonnet can be used for buffing. I have not used the polishing black pad. I also use an oribital polisher for final. I've had great results with this product.

A: The backing pad has 5/8''-11 spindle and should be directly installed on the Angle grinder without using an adapter, it should be screwed on securely for use.

Q: Why so many pieces? The related video says you use the "polisher" to apply and rub in the car wax, and use a cloth to buff by hand.

Q: Can this be used to buff/polish old weathered granite and marble?

A: The product is designed to be used on cars with the appropriate polishing compound. We are not sure that the car polishing compounds can be used on marble or granite, and also not quite sure if there are any special compounds specifically used on granite. We would suggest if there are special compounds designed for granite, then perhaps to try this very carefully in a hidden corner, so the consumer can see the result. However, the best way we highly recommend is to check with a granite counter top manufacturer for their expert advice prior applying this product, as they are not designed for polishing granite/marble.
