Replacement 14.4 V Battery

Purchased a 14.4V Drill/Driver app 8 yrs ago. The Drill worked fine however the batteries did not retain their charge and finally were not able to be charged at all. Ordered replacement batteries just recently but obviously they were old stock and were not able to be charged as well and I had to return them. Went online to check out the situation and found that these batteries are no longer available which is disappointing as the drill itself was o.k. and now is worthless.

Mastercraft 14.4V drill

This drill is ok but the battery attachment is junk, the bits of plastic that hold the battery to the drill can not hold up to any kind of hard work. I bought one and it lasted approx 1 yrs then broke. I Crazy Glued it a few times and then gave up on it. I would not buy it ever again.

The batteries are going fast

Have the drill kit that this battery is for. A cordless drill is a staple today for most jobs and no complaints. Mine has been used alot in the 2 1/2 years since an on sale purchase. Both batteries are working now at about half their original capacity. Need to be replaced soon. Ever on sale? as pricey especially for two...

Overall this battery's performance is poor, it doesn't store a charge well, and battery life is short. I found myself constantly swapping back and forth between batteries just to get a small job done.

Good battery but quite costly

This battery last quite long when I do some light or sporadic drilling. For constant usage over a long period of time, battery powered tools are no match against those plugged directly in the wall. My only complain is that I got (in sale) a Mastercraft 14.4V drill, a case, two batteries and a quick charger for the same cost of a single battery replacement.
