Bought this compressor on sale 2 years ago. Has never let me down. Note you do want to use 1/2" air hose rather than the cheaper 3/8" if airflow is a concern: on longer runs of hose, it does make a difference. It runs all my tools including automotive paint guns (DeVilbiss), two different impact drivers, air chisel, drill, cut-off tool (4"), etc. Just a note and not meant to be a shot but I've found out the hard way that sometimes when you buy cheaper no-name airtools they waste a lot of airflow and don't perform as well. For example I had a cheap cutoff tool and the compressor was hard-pressed to keep up the volume of air needed. I went and bought a well-known brand of cutoff tool and voila, works like a charm! You do need at least a dedicated 15amp circuit so those reviewers complaining it trips their breakers when starting up..........yeah, it's a big motor. Sharing that breaker with other electrical things that are running at the same time and you are likely going to trip the breaker time-to time when the compressor starts up.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: What is the duty cycle of MasterCraft Compressors? Some compressors are only rated for 50% duty cycle (meaning 30 mins on, then you need 30 mins off) How long can this compressor be run for? Daily use?

      2 Answers
      • A: I know this question is 3 years old but the answer given in incorrect. It is not a 100% duty cycle. As per the manual it very clearly states it is to be run for a maximum of 30 minutes and then rest for 30 minutes. (From the manual) WARNING! This air compressor is not designed for continuous operation or unlimited, commercial operations and may be used in dry areas only. This air compressor is intended to be used in maximum 30-minute intervals and should rest for 30 minutes before being used again. Do not exceed the maximum working time.

Q: Outside storage during winter Can it stay in a shed during winter season? I can't store this in my house but the compressor will be used from time to time during winter time (maybe 1-3 times per month). Is there a procedure to do for winter storage if not used during winter time.

      1 Answer
      • A: It's not recommended to store the compressor outside, however, if you have to, we recommend bringing the compressor in doors for several hours to warm up before each use until it can be started up.
