Terrible product! It immediately clouded up with water drops inside the gauge making it almost impossible to read. Then caused problems with my fridge. I removed the gauge and ran fridge on generator for many days. I kept trying to switch to propane but it would not stay lit. It finally cleared the moisture in the line. A tech suggests that if I had kept the guage on it may have ruined my fridge permanently.

A: Yes, the gauge can be used all winter. Note keep an eye on it; when you are close to running out it can move very quickly. So don’t start a large roast in this situation.

Q: What is the red button for? Is the battery only to light the gauge or is it required for functioning of the level reading? What happens when the battery dies? Why aren't these answers on the packaging?

A: Yes, the battery is only to power the light. Use the red button to turn on the light. The gauge works on the pressure in the tank.

Q: Does it work on 100lb tanks

A: Good question? The gauge is most likely for the 30 lb bbq tank, It works well, but you have to keep your eye on it. When the tanks starts to run out the needle will drop very quickly. So there is little notice. If you decide the buy the gauge, check the info on the package to see if there is a pressure rating. Plan B would be to attach it to the tank and slowly increase the pressure. If it holds a full pressure you are good to go. If not return the gauge for a refund.

Q: Will this tank gauge also work to connect old POL connector to new QCC1 propane tank? I own several older propane devices, deep fryer, tiger torch which have POL fitting.
