I purchased this barbecue starter about 2 years ago and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread it works wonderfully and it has your barbecue going in minutes. Now the downside there is a removable attachment at the very tip that degrades and and disintegrates with use. And although this attachment comes As A Separate Peace In The Box when it is gone you must buy a whole new fire starter! You cannot just buy the single piece that is degraded and broken down. If you're going to the question section of the review on this page you will see the answer I received from customer service and their answer is basically throw it away because a part that is a fraction of the cost will not be sold separately, you have to buy a new fire starter at full price. Pretty poorly thought out by Canadian Tire in design, environmental impact and in response to a customer's question.
This product review is now I'm it's 4th edit because it has been censored. Maybe this last comment will send me I to my 5th edit.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can the removable piece at the end be purchased separately. This tool is awesome but the end piece is starting to disintegrate from the many BBQ's its fired up over the past couple years.

A: I am sorry but I do not understand how I have to throw away a perfectly good working part because a another part that comes in the Box Zilla Box separately cannot be obtained can you please explain that to me
