Inadequate product description.

The online description on this item leaves much to be desired. Nowhere does it state this item consists ONLY of CLEAR plastic.
If you pick this product up in person you will know what you are getting and can just go home, but if someone picks it up for you you will probably have to make a second trip to CT to return it. Next time at least use the manufacturers product identification "CLEAR plastic..." Another example of the failure of the chair keyboard computer interface.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can a very dark welding glass be replaced with the Lincoln Electric Shade 9 replacement clear lens and provide eye protection for arc welding ?

A: No. This is a safety lens only. It protects the welding lens in the helmet from spatter and debris impact.
