    poor planning and design

    This NOMA light came in a package with no instructions whatsoever. The unit did not seem to be working. There was no indication on the outside of the unit or on the packaging as to how to get into the battery compartment and it seemed to be sealed shut. As I had thrown out my receipt and the unit is inexpensive, I figured I might as well force it open with a screwdriver. The instructions on how it opened and closed were *inside* the battery compartment - really not helpful. Sure it taught me that the back could be twisted off (with some difficulty), however forcing it open to see the instructions broke the tab that would keep it in place. In the end, the batteries inside were plastic tabbed which prevented the unit from getting power (and ostensibly to keep people in the store from clicking it on and leaving it on). So now I have a working touch light with no back, so it's no longer adhesive.

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    Useful nightlight

    I'm using the same light for a few years and find it very useful as a nightlight. Unlike more powerful desktop, clip lamps and torches, it allows you move in the middle of the night in the room and actually seeing where you are going without making you wide awake. Easier return to sleep few minutes later. Keeps battery charge amazingly long time, if used as described above. It has a flat base and will not roll away or make sounds when you reach it. Not for reading, then at least 12-LED lamp is required. Good to have at the bed side table, kitchen, basement, or in any other place you may need to visit in the middle of the night without waking up the family. Not a necessity, but it makes your life much easier, one of the small comforts of life. Recommended.
