Q: What is used to tint these glasses? Are they cadmium and boa and lead free?

A: All of Libbey's products are cadmium-free, BPA-free, and lead-free. The glasses are not sprayed with the color and the color is incorporated into the glass itself using what are known as "frits" to create the color to the desired hue, so it is not possible for it to leach or wear off over time.
