We had one battery operated and were pretty disappointed with its grinding. This one grinds well, and you can exercise and it needs no batteries.

The caps over the business end of the salt and pepper shakers are simply, dumb. I don't want to remove the cap to use it, then screw it back on when I'm finished. I do not recommend them
