Q: I bought a Kitchen Aid 7 Speed hand mixer Stainless Steel Turbo Beater II from Canadian Tire. Why is there a CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS ONLY - WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm - www.P65Warnings.ca.gov on the cord? What is cancer & reproductive harm in it?
6 years agoA: The warning that you refer to is printed in order for us to be in compliance with California state law. In the State of California, there exists what is referred to as "Proposition 65". Proposition 65 is the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. Any company that operates in California, sells products in California, or manufactures products that may be sold in or brought into California is subject to Proposition 65. Since Whirlpool's products are sold in California, Proposition 65 applies to us. Proposition 65 requires warning labels on any product that may contain or produce any of 600-plus elements that the California Air Resources Board considers a carcinogen or a reproductive toxicant. These elements include lead (contained in the solder used to attach electronic parts to the printed circuit boards, brass, PVC and a multitude of other everyday elements and gas products burn fuels (natural gas or propane) that contain trace levels of chemicals on the list. If a product contains even the smallest amounts of chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, even when limits are not exceeded, Whirlpool has elected to liberally warn consumers.

Q: Does it come with the pro wisk attachment? Kitchenaid.ca has this mixer with the pro wisk attachment.. but their is no mention of it on CT website
