Amazing Dutch oven, made to last.

I’ve owned two of these for well over 10 years. I use each multiple times a week. With proper care, these will last you a very long time. I love them. Best economical Dutch oven out there!

The enamel coating chips.

I received this dutch oven as a Christmas gift two years ago and haven't used it more than 3 times. The enamel on the lid particularly is chipping off and I can't trust that it won't end up in whatever I'm cooking. So it's useless to me know. Contacted Kitchen Aid customer support, and they wanted me to pay $7 to join a chat group where I could discuss my issue with a service rep. How ridiculous is that?! Won't be purchasing any more Kitchen Aid cookware in the future.

Versatility at its best!

I love this product! My favourite way to use it is for recipes that require stovetop work before needing time in the Oven. Other casserole dishes (the kind with glass lids) just can't do the same job! it's also great just for cooking up a soup or stew!

Q: Is this safe for the fridge?

A: Yes it is. Just be aware that rapid temperature changes are dangerous - such as putting it from the fridge directly onto a high burner - it can crack or shatter almost like glass. Let it warm up reasonably slowly from the fridge and it's fine.
