Industrial Design gone horribly wrong...

Having used the product for more than three years (it belongs to my partner), I am sorry to say that it is one of the worst pieces of Industrial design I have ever come across. While it looks sturdy and purposeful, it has several fatal flaws: the edges of the coffee container are sharp enough to cut fingers, and you will have to use a spoon to get the bottom part of the grind out, which dulls the blades over time. The coffee is often unevenly ground, with the finest ground at the bottom. The container is awkward to secure on the motor and the lid often will not fit properly until the second try, which means opening it up and resetting the container. Finally, the cord appears designed to look reassuringly solid, but its weight and position means that the grinder often won't sit straight on a surface. To top it all off, the appliance is loud. Not recommended.

Not a good grinder

After reading a bunch of the reviews on this coffee grinder, I decided to purchase one. I've had it for about 4 months now and it's the loudest coffee grinder I have ever used. I also find that it doesn't grind the beans very evenly, there will be finely ground beans at the bottom and still coarse near the top. I weigh out my beans as I need them for the amount of coffee that I'm brewing, so I definitely don't overfill the machine.

Cheap fit & finish

Agreed that sadly this is not the same grinder. The ruff, sand paper finish for the outer shell of the SS is cheap and was the easy way out for KA. They had significantly decreased the quality of the name making an inferior product. I returned it and going to look at the refurbished market.
