My favorite thing to cook in

I got this set for Christmas last year and although I previously had a Kitchen Aid set, this is my absolute favorite. I've seen many people complain about it's durability and cooking flaws, however, if you clean the pots and pans properly, you should never have an issue. I've been using almost every piece daily for the past 6 months and they still look as new as the day I got them and they all function perfectly. Granted they are heavy.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Love this set!

This is a great set to purchase very very durable. This set also looks very nice. The only problem I have is everything is so heavy especially after you fill a pot with water you can barely lift it.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: you say that the cookset has non stick 'exterior' do you actually mean non stick 'interior' as that is where I would like them to be non stick?

    • A: This set is a two-ply design, with anodized aluminum on the outside and stainless steel on the inside (cooking surface). Anodized aluminum is not really "non-stick" but it doesn't matter either way because it's not the cooking surface.

Q: Are those good cookset? I'm looking to buy a set for my girlfriend and I'm wondering if the 2 ply is enough or I will be dessapointed...I think for the price it's a good deal but I'm not sure...Does anyone as one at home and if so is it worth the price?

    • A: I have been cooking for more years than I care to remember and I did that for a living at a five star resort. This particular cookware set is quite simply " as good as it gets " and if you have the opportunity to buy this beautiful set at 70% off don't wait,,,run and get it now,,, This is the best you will ever find,,,no exceptions at all !

    • A: C'est une question de préférence. un couvert de sortie à vapeur permet à la vapeur de sortir tandis qu'un couvercle sans sortie à vapeur peut sceller le chaudron complètement.

Q: How does this compare to the 11-pc "Clad" Set? I'm curious how this biclad set compares to the 3-ply "clad" 11-pc KitchenAid set also sold exclusively by CT (item # 142-2490-2)? The 11pc set appears to be a better value (same price, but you get one more piece), but is this set "better"?

    • A: With the 3-ply clad, you also get the benefit of full stainless steel, which has the advantage of not potentially flaking off as the pots age. The KitchenAid coating is a high-quality durable coating, but if you lay your pots freely in a full drawer where they may be contacting and rubbing against other pots, the stainless will not damage like the coated pots. The coating could flake or scratch off.

Q: Does food stick to the inside of these pots? Also, do metal utensils scratch the inside of the pots?

    1 Answer
    • A: Yes, the food does stick to the inside of these pots. To minimize sticking when frying, sauteing or searing, preheat the pan is required before adding foods. Metal utensils are fine to use. Minor scratching may occur when using sharp knives in the pan interior.

Q: Which Non-Stick Surface is it made with? Is there a non-stick coating used on this set? If there is, I wanted to be certain that they were not manufactured with perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) or Polytetrafluoroethylene (PFTE)? Thank you!

    1 Answer
    • A: The coating is only on the exterior of the pan to facilitate easy cleaning and protect the pan while washing in the dishwasher. There is no nonstick coating on the pan interior so the food won't be cooking on any nonstick coating. Also the nonstick on the exterior is PFOA and PTFE free after it is manufactured.
